Important Reminder About Completing Your Guard Card Course On Time

Before you can legally work as a security guard in California, you must complete an approved guard card course and submit your BSIS Guard Card application, including Live Scan fingerprinting. Make sure your training provider is BSIS-certified and that all required hours are completed within the specified deadlines.

Failing to meet state requirements can delay your approval or result in fines for both you and your employer. Always carry your valid Guard Card while on duty and renew your certification annually to remain in good standing.
