SB 1626 Enrollment Requirements
Who can enroll? This course is designed for anyone working in a K-12 or Community College environment. While mandated for school security guards (SB 1626/SB 390), it is highly recommended for Proctors, Campus Aides, and Yard Duty staff to ensure a unified response to campus emergencies.

No Prior Certification Required: You do not need a BSIS Guard Card to take this course. It is open to all school staff and community members interested in campus safety.

Valid Government ID: A state-issued driver’s license, ID card, or passport is required for identity verification and to ensure your certificate of completion is legally valid.

Employment Verification (Optional): If you are being sponsored by your school district, please bring your employee ID or a signed authorization form from your administrator.

Background Check: While there is no “Live Scan” required just to sit in the class, please note that most school districts require a standard background check for all campus employees.
